Building Our Legacy
Commonwealth Construction & Remodelingis an exterior home remodeling company serving homeowners throughout Chesterfield County, Richmond, Henrico County, and the surrounding areas of Virginia. We specialize in all exterior home remodeling projects including window installation and replacement, siding, roofing, gutters, doors, decks, fences, and standby home generators.
The company is led by owner Tim Desper, a Chesterfield County and Richmond area native with 30 years of hands-on experience in remodeling and construction. That experience gives Commonwealth a practical understanding of what Virginia homeowners need from their exterior remodeling projects: quality products, honest recommendations, reliable timelines, and workmanship that is built to last.
Locally Owned & Operated
Serving Chesterfield, Richmond, and Henrico for over 30 Years
When you work with Commonwealth, you work directly with the business owners, not high-pressure sales reps or a large national brand that treats your home like another number. We take the time to understand your goals, explain your options clearly, and recommend the products that make the most sense for your home, budget, and long-term needs.
Our approach is built on honest pricing, clear expectations, and dependable craftsmanship. From replacement windows and siding to roofing, gutters, doors, decks, fences, and generators, our goal is to complete every project on time, on budget, and with the highest level of care. We stand behind our work and are proud to offer some of the best warranties in exterior remodeling.

A word from our owner ...
When you let a company work on your home, you’re handing over more than a to-do list. You’re trusting us with the place where your family lives. I started Commonwealth Construction & Remodeling because I believe that trust has to be earned the honest way, by showing up when we say we will, doing the work right the first time, and treating your house the way I’d treat my own. No shortcuts. No surprises. No talking over your head. Just straight answers and work that holds up.
That’s my promise to you. From our first conversation to the final walk-through, we’ll respect your home, your time, and your budget. We’ll keep you in the loop at every step, and we’ll always tell you the truth, even when it’s not what you hoped to hear. When the job is done, we stand behind it, because we’re not finished until you’re proud of how your home looks. Thank you for considering us. I’d welcome the chance to earn your trust.
